We wouldn't be able to nourish the souls of our unsheltered guests the same without feeding their hunger first. Our volunteer "chefs" cook hand-made, fresh meals every Saturday and Sunday with love and compassion. If you love to cook, we'd love to have you, but beware that our cooks have to arrive early.
Cook With Us!Our Saturday breakfast and Sunday dinner meal services would not be possible without those who serve food and beverages, and help clean up. This popular "area" is where most of our consisstent volunteers and leaders start, so beware! You might fall in love with Body & Soul, and join our cause if you choose to serve.
Serve With Us!Those working "The Store" on Saturday mornings are either distributing donated clothing, or distributing essentials self-care products and other donated goods directly to the unsheltered guests we serve. We need warm and giving volunteers for this job, but we also need organized volunteers who can take accurate inventory.
Serve Up EssentialsAbout once per month, we have a small team of dedicated volunteers who meet on a Friday evening to organize newly donated clothing, record accurate inventory, and then reorganize our clothing donation closet so our Saturday volunteer team can distribute clothing quickly and efficiently to (around) 65 guests. If you love keeping an organized closet, we need YOU!
Help Keep Us OrganizedIf you're extremely outgoing, and love making genuine connections with others, you should consider volunteering as a greeter. Our greeters truly set the tone for our Saturday and Sunday meal services by making our guests feel like family, and by helping our new guests understand the "lay of the land." We usually only have a couple spots available, so they are hard to grab.
Share the Love HereLove is the coal that makes this train roll! Our "Core Team" of administrative-level volunteers stay busy behind the scenes, volunteering their precious time to help our organization with marketing, fundraising, planning, accounting, and other necessary, functional activities to continue our mission, serving the unsheltered population of the Dallas-area community.
